The porous hose was developed for underground irrigation. It is backed by well over 15 years of research and development. This includes the composition of the raw materials, the fine-tuning of the mixing ratio to each other and the technology of the manufacturing process. Most important is the material preparation and conditioning to prevent quality deficiencies, as well as the flow rate and cooling distance.


The special fine-tuning within the production process is decisive for the quality. As a result, the fine pores are closely spaced and let through precisely as much water as is actually needed by means of pressure regulators - guaranteed. Irrigation takes place in the root area.

Up to 70 % water is saved - compared to conventional irrigation. 


The water delivery at a pressure of, for example, 0.6 to 1.0 bar is evenly distributed over a length of 100 metres, with a flow rate of 0.8 - 2.0 litres/metre/hour.

Why are we talking about this here?


It is very simple. The hose can currently only be produced in small quantities. For mass production, production facilities have to be built for which there is no money. The project developers have now decided to draw attention here to its essential value and the global benefits. Maybe interested parties can be secured who will decide in favour of test fields. Only practice can determine to what extent our statements about saving water, increasing yield and quality, for example, are true. In this context, the cost-benefit factor can be determined in practice. And we already know; in the long run, the investment will pay off handsomely. Fields of potatoes, maize and aubergines in Tunisia and Morocco have already confirmed this. The internet makes it much easier to pass on the need from hand to hand.


In Germany, the agricultural area is approximately 17 million hectares.

By means of a slit, the hose is laid approx according to the root depth of the plant. The root hairs "smell" the water and grow there. Since the hose is constructed like a sponge, roots cannot grow in or soil to stick to the hose.

This underground irrigation hose has already been tested at the Institute for Agricultural and Urban Ecological Projects in Berlin. Steady water delivery, no clogging of the pores, low weed growth (site-dependent) and water saving.
